She is a High energy senior businesswoman who enjoys working with people and she delights herself in developing relationships as well as businesses through good public relations. This wonderful lady’s interests are communicating, writing, organizing, horticulture, office plantscaping, aviation, outdoor activities, event organizing, and corresponding with about 80 personal international pen-friends. She has organized many events, beginning with an Air Fair for her Civil Air Patrol Squadron at age 16, she organized an air show jointly with (the Blue Angels) and her group of Experimental Aircraft Owners participated. She enjoys visiting pen-friends and her celebrity pen-friends share their talents at her international networking pot-lucks and fantasy auctions. So without further introduction let me present J. An Interview with Dr. Eva Ritvo, MD

Dr. Ritvo is vice chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and the chair of the Department of Psychiatry. She is an Associate Professor in both the Departments of Psychiatry with a secondary appointment in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Ritvo is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a member of the American College of Psychiatry. Dr. Ritvo has written and lectured extensively in the US, and internationally to dermatologists, plastic and cosmetic surgeons as well as psychiatrists on the “Science and Meaning of Beauty” as well as “How to understand and handle aesthetic patients”. Dr Ritvo has written book chapters and articles on topics that include body dysmorphic disorder, and managing patient expectations. She and her best friend in medical school, Dr. Debra Luftman, co-authored a book called The Beauty Prescription. In addition to her expertise in the science of beauty, she is considered an expert in family therapy and is the lead author of the Concise Guide to Marital and Family Therapy and has written the chapters on Family and Couples Therapy for the leading psychiatric textbooks. She is an experienced psychotherapist treating patients with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues among other psychiatric matters. Dr. Ritvo makes frequent public speaking and TV appearances on local news channels and has appeared on the TODAY show and a special segment on EXTRA called “Beauty and the Brain”. She had a long running TV segment called “Real Relationship”. She is often quoted in the Miami Herald, and has also been quoted in the New York Times, New York Times magazine, USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, WebMD, SELF magazine, and others.

How Polluted Is Our Indoor Air?


Aging Younger Radio interviews Scientist and Author Mark Sneller, Ph.D., a nationally renowned indoor air expert. After spending over thirty years studying mold, pollen and indoor pollutants and inspecting thousands of homes, offices, and schools he has many findings and ideas to share with you.

In 1979, Dr. Sneller started Aero-Allergy Research, an indoor air quality company in Tucson, Arizona. Since then, he has received two awards from the Arizona Lung Association for work in the field of respiratory health, has been featured in Newsweek Magazine and The New York Times, and on ABC, NBC and CBS national network news. Dr. Sneller has also been under contract with the Department of Justice and Department of Defense for outdoor and indoor air monitoring and served on the State of Arizona Air Pollution Control Hearing Board under appointment from the governor. A bioterrorism consultant for the City of New York Department of Health, he has hosted his own radio talk show and was a weekly newspaper columnist for the ten years.
